01Overview
TagCam is a mobile camera application that adds a visible location stamp to the photos you capture, so a photo can serve as a record of where and when it was taken.
We aim to collect as little information as possible. Photos and their stamped details are created and stored on your device unless you choose to share or export them.
02Information We Collect
Depending on how you use the app, the following categories may be involved:
- Location data: GPS coordinates and, where available, a resolved street address used to build the stamp on your photo.
- Photos and captures: images you take with TagCam, together with the timestamp, coordinates, address and any project or note text you add.
- Device and app information: operating system version, app version and basic diagnostic information used to keep the app stable.
- Purchase information: subscription or purchase status supplied by the app store when you upgrade to TagCam Pro.
- Support correspondence: the content of messages you send us through the contact or deletion request forms.
03How We Use Information
Information is used only to operate and improve the app:
- To determine your position and generate the location stamp applied to a photo.
- To display your captures, projects and map views inside the app.
- To validate and restore TagCam Pro entitlements.
- To diagnose crashes, errors and performance problems.
- To respond to your support, privacy or billing requests.
04Location Data
TagCam requires location permission to function. Without it, the app cannot produce the stamp that gives a photo its value as a record.
Location is requested while the app is in use, at the moment you prepare or take a capture. TagCam does not require background location tracking to deliver its core features, and the app does not build a continuous history of your movements.
GPS accuracy depends on your device, satellite visibility and surroundings. The app shows a signal indicator so you can decide whether the reading is good enough before capturing.
You can revoke location permission at any time in your device settings. Doing so will prevent new location stamps from being created.
05Photos and Storage
Captures are stored locally on your device. The stamp is rendered into the saved image so the record travels with the file when you share or export it.
If you save captures to your device gallery or send them to another app, service or person, that content is then handled according to the settings and policies of those destinations.
Deleting the app removes locally stored app data. Photos you exported elsewhere are not affected.
06Third-Party Services
TagCam relies on a small number of platform and third-party services to work:
- Device location services provided by your mobile operating system.
- Map and geocoding providers used to resolve coordinates to an address and to display map views.
- External map applications you choose to open a location in.
- The Apple App Store or Google Play, which process purchases and subscriptions for TagCam Pro.
- Crash and diagnostics tooling used to detect and fix defects.
07Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share your photos or location history with advertisers.
Information may be disclosed only where necessary to operate the service, to comply with a legal obligation, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights and safety of users and the public.
08Data Security
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to a mobile application of this type, including platform-level storage protections and encrypted transport for any network requests.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Keeping your device locked and up to date is an important part of protecting your captures.
09Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing.
- Control location and camera access through your device permission settings.
- Delete individual captures or projects from within the app at any time.
- Request account or stored data deletion through the deletion request page.
- Contact us with any privacy question or to exercise a right described above.
10Children's Privacy
TagCam is a professional documentation tool intended for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us so it can be removed.
11Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated as the app evolves or as legal requirements change. Material changes will be reflected in the Last Updated date above and, where appropriate, highlighted in the app.
12Contact
Privacy questions and requests can be sent to privacy@tagcam.app (placeholder) or through the contact page. Our support team will respond as soon as possible.
